Job Summary
To support a major public-sector technology modernization initiative, the contract-based Tennessee Licensed DevSecOps Engineer will introduce, configure, and administer software delivery platforms, integrate automated security scanning tools, and ensure compliance with governance standards in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Administer software delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and GitHub to enhance software development processes
- Define and implement governance standards and repeatable processes for software delivery across multiple departments
- Integrate and maintain automated code security scanning tools within delivery pipelines, addressing vulnerabilities before release
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with container platforms (OpenShift or Kubernetes) or CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Working knowledge of secure software delivery practices and integration of security into development pipelines
- Experience documenting processes and driving adoption across teams or departments
- Eligibility to pass a public-sector background check
- Familiarity with NIST or similar frameworks and experience in building IT governance or SDLC standards
