Tennessee Licensed DevSecOps Engineer

Job Summary

To support a major public-sector technology modernization initiative, the contract-based Tennessee Licensed DevSecOps Engineer will introduce, configure, and administer software delivery platforms, integrate automated security scanning tools, and ensure compliance with governance standards in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer software delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and GitHub to enhance software development processes
• Define and implement governance standards and repeatable processes for software delivery across multiple departments
• Integrate and maintain automated code security scanning tools within delivery pipelines, addressing vulnerabilities before release

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with container platforms (OpenShift or Kubernetes) or CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Working knowledge of secure software delivery practices and integration of security into development pipelines
• Experience documenting processes and driving adoption across teams or departments
• Eligibility to pass a public-sector background check
• Familiarity with NIST or similar frameworks and experience in building IT governance or SDLC standards
