Tennessee Licensed Financial Reporting Director

Job Summary

Leading all external and internal reporting for a growing non-standard auto insurance carrier, the full-time remote Tennessee Licensed Financial Reporting Director will manage GAAP and statutory reporting, oversee the MARS audit process, and ensure compliance in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the financial reporting function, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Lead GAAP and statutory reporting, including Annual and Quarterly Statements and related disclosures
• Direct the MARS audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and regulators

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably in Property & Casualty insurance
• Deep expertise in GAAP and statutory accounting (SAP/NAIC)
• Proven experience in a high-growth or complex insurance environment
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and other reporting tools
