Tennessee Licensed HR Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Human Resources Director for a short-term engagement in the higher education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and process all State of Tennessee employee benefits forms, documentation, and reporting requirements
• Ensure timely submission of enrollment changes, eligibility updates, terminations, and compliance-related benefits filings
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and the State of Tennessee Benefits Administration

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience managing State of Tennessee employee benefits forms and reporting
• Background working in a higher education environment or similarly structured public sector organization strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success supporting mid to large sized workforces (1,500-2,000+ employees)
• Strong understanding of benefits compliance, eligibility rules, and state mandated timelines
• Ability to step into a hands-on, fast-moving environment and quickly stabilize day-to-day operations
