Job Summary

Managing multiple specialties within the coding department, the full-time remote Tennessee Licensed Inpatient Coding Director will oversee professional and outpatient facility coding, analyze departmental policies, and ensure quality performance through monitoring and feedback across various departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate inpatient facility coding operations, providing guidance to coding managers
• Develop departmental goals and objectives aligned with institutional policies and analyze budget variances to achieve financial targets
• Monitor quality assurance standards and ensure compliance with accreditation and licensure requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Five years of relevant work experience in medical coding
• Certified Professional Coder - Outpatient certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders
• Expertise in medical coding and compliance regulations
• Strong leadership and people management skills
