Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time remote Tennessee Licensed Insurance Collector will work with insurance companies to resolve claims denials, initiate necessary documentation, and follow up until payment is secured or recourse is exhausted.

Key responsibilities
  • Determine the cause of denial or non-payment of claims and initiate appropriate actions to resolve issues
  • Maintain clear documentation of all communications and actions taken regarding insurance-related matters
  • Research accounts and verify insurance benefits through various methods to facilitate timely payment
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment focused on insurance billing and collections
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance, including managed care and reimbursement methodologies
  • Understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy
  • Effective interpersonal skills and communication abilities
