Tennessee Licensed Medical Director
Job Summary
Providing leadership and direction for the claims review program, the part-time Tennessee Licensed Medical Director will oversee the quality and effectiveness of medical services, participate in provider discussions, and assist in policy development while working remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Key responsibilities:
- Reviews surgical and professional claims for correct coding using clinical records
- Discusses cases and clinical coding situations with treating providers telephonically
- Supports compliance with regulatory agency standards and provides clinical support for initial reviews
Required qualifications:
- MD or DO with a current, active, and fully unrestricted medical license
- Current board certification in Orthopedic Surgery through ABMS or AOA
- 5+ years of clinical experience post-residency
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
