Job Summary
To support a growing panel of independent physician reviewers, the fully remote Tennessee Licensed Orthopedic Spine Surgeon will conduct comprehensive medical record reviews, provide evidence-based opinions on spinal conditions, and participate in peer discussions while enjoying flexible scheduling as a 1099 independent contractor.
Key responsibilities
- Review medical records and supporting documentation to assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
- Conduct evidence-based clinical assessments and prepare clear, comprehensive written reports
- Answer client-specific questions regarding orthopedic spine diagnoses, treatment plans, and surgical interventions
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Current, unrestricted Tennessee medical license
- Minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience in orthopedic spine surgery
- Fellowship training and significant experience in Spine Surgery preferred
