Job Summary
To support patient advocacy in a nontraditional clinical setting, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Pharmacy RN will evaluate prescribed medications, assess patient needs, and ensure compliance with best practice standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessments and evaluate patient drug usage and prescribing patterns
- Negotiate appropriate levels of care and recommend alternative treatments as necessary
- Act as a resource for clients, nursing staff, and claims examiners regarding pharmacy issues
Required qualifications
- Active unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred or equivalent work experience
- Certification in case management, pharmacy, rehabilitation nursing, or a related specialty is highly preferred
- Four years of related experience, including two years of direct clinical care or case management/utilization management
- Strong understanding of medical and disability duration guidelines
