Job Summary

To support accurate revenue cycle management, the full-time Remote Physician Pro Fee Coding Specialist-Anesthesia will review and assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for anesthesia services, ensuring compliance with coding regulations and collaborating with internal teams for optimal documentation and reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Assign accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes based on provider documentation for professional services and procedures
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and payer policies, performing coding audits and quality reviews
• Collaborate with physicians and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding-related issues and enhance documentation practices

Required qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• Associate Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in physician coding or medical billing required
• Certified Coder-AHIMA or AAPC (CPC) certification required
• Experience with multiple specialties or surgical coding preferred
