Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Precertification Specialist will contact insurance companies to determine pre-authorization requirements for outpatient radiology exams and procedures while working remotely in the CST time zone.
Key responsibilities
- Contact insurance companies and third-party administrators to ascertain pre-authorization and medical necessity requirements
- Obtain pre-authorization before scheduled outpatient services are performed
- Act as a liaison between patients and referring physician offices to gather additional clinical documentation as needed
Required qualifications
- Background in healthcare preferred
- Working knowledge of medical billing and managed care
- Experience with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System preferred
- Proficient phone and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare professionals
