Tennessee Licensed Precertification Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Precertification Specialist will contact insurance companies to determine pre-authorization requirements for outpatient radiology exams and procedures while working remotely in the CST time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies and third-party administrators to ascertain pre-authorization and medical necessity requirements
• Obtain pre-authorization before scheduled outpatient services are performed
• Act as a liaison between patients and referring physician offices to gather additional clinical documentation as needed

Required qualifications

• Background in healthcare preferred
• Working knowledge of medical billing and managed care
• Experience with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System preferred
• Proficient phone and computer skills
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare professionals
