Job Summary
To support a growing outpatient radiology practice, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Precertification Specialist will contact insurance companies to determine pre-authorization requirements for outpatient exams and procedures, acting as a liaison between patients and physicians while working remotely in the CST time zone.
Key responsibilities:
- Contact insurance companies and third-party administrators to ascertain pre-authorization and medical necessity requirements
- Obtain pre-authorization before scheduled services are performed
- Facilitate communication between patients and referring physician offices to gather necessary clinical documentation
Required qualifications:
- Background in healthcare preferred
- Working knowledge of medical billing and managed care
- Experience with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System preferred
- Proficient in phone and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, physicians, and staff
