Tennessee Licensed Precertification Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing outpatient radiology practice, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Precertification Specialist will contact insurance companies to determine pre-authorization requirements for outpatient exams and procedures, acting as a liaison between patients and physicians while working remotely in the CST time zone.

Key responsibilities:

• Contact insurance companies and third-party administrators to ascertain pre-authorization and medical necessity requirements
• Obtain pre-authorization before scheduled services are performed
• Facilitate communication between patients and referring physician offices to gather necessary clinical documentation

Required qualifications:

• Background in healthcare preferred
• Working knowledge of medical billing and managed care
• Experience with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System preferred
• Proficient in phone and computer skills
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, physicians, and staff
