Job Summary

Serving as a vital liaison among schools, families, and the organization, the full-time Tennessee Licensed School Navigator will facilitate access to behavioral health services for students, support the intake and insurance process, and promote service continuity while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process student referrals from assigned schools, initiating family contact and documentation within three business days
• Assist families with Medicaid eligibility screening and private insurance verification, ensuring access to necessary funding
• Schedule intake appointments with school-based therapists and maintain accurate clinical records to support service continuity

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Understanding of mental health systems and school-based service models
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic records management
• Current driver's license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance
• Successful completion of background checks, including criminal and abuse/neglect checks
