Tennessee Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Supporting the month-end close process, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Senior Accountant will prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and contribute to the accuracy of financial statements in a remote role with a preference for candidates in the Eastern and Central time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly standard and adjusting journal entries while ensuring accuracy in the general ledger
• Review general ledger accounts for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Interface with various departments and assist in annual financial audits, providing ad-hoc reporting as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 2 years of public accounting and 2 years of private accounting experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
• Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
