Tennessee Licensed Senior Accountant
Job Summary
To support the growth of the finance team, the full-time salaried Tennessee Licensed Senior Accountant will manage the transition of accounting functions from outsourced providers to an in-house team, develop scalable processes, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the Controller to transition accounting responsibilities and implement scalable accounting processes
- Own significant portions of the monthly close process, including preparing complex journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements and participate in strategic initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA required
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 or Top 10 public accounting firm
- Strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842
- Experience managing complex month-end close responsibilities
