Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Coding Specialist, PRN (Psychiatry) - REMOTE.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop efficient workflows to organize and prioritize complex coding work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Utilize designated coding classification systems to ensure accurate code selection and reflect appropriate codes during patient encounters
• Proactively identify documentation gaps or inconsistencies and initiate coding queries to ensure accurate code assignment

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Relevant work experience of 4 years
• Certifications such as Certified Coding Associate or Certified Coding Specialist from AHIMA or AAPC
• Advanced knowledge in medical professional and outpatient facility coding
• Understanding of medical terminology and documentation
