Tennessee Licensed Short Term Disability Specialist

Job Summary

Leading the end-to-end adjudication of complex Short Term Disability claims, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Short Term Disability Specialist will collaborate with clinical and vocational resources to support claim decision-making and enhance the return-to-work journey while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of Short Term Disability claims from intake through resolution, ensuring timely and accurate decisions
• Collaborate with clinical and vocational partners to develop effective return-to-work strategies and assess benefit eligibility
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Short Term Disability claim practices, contributing to the design and refinement of internal procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience handling Short Term Disability claims
• Strong understanding of relevant federal and state regulations (e.g., FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA)
• Experience partnering with clinical/vocational professionals to support return-to-work efforts
• Proficiency with claims administration platforms and workflow/documentation tools
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred
