Job Summary

To support structural engineering projects for the Department of Energy and other government facilities, a Tennessee Licensed Structural Engineer will serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) on a temporary, remote basis, providing technical oversight and professional engineering approval for analyses, specifications, and design drawings.

Key responsibilities
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) and review structural analyses, calculations, and design documents
  • Verify compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and project specifications
  • Provide technical review comments and approval documentation, ensuring designs are safe and defensible
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
  • Active Tennessee Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience
  • Experience as an Engineer of Record or Lead Structural Engineer
  • Advanced proficiency in GT STRUDL and experience with structural calculations and engineering deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC Steel Manual, and ACI 318
