Job Summary
To support structural engineering projects for the Department of Energy and other government facilities, a Tennessee Licensed Structural Engineer will serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) on a temporary, remote basis, providing technical oversight and professional engineering approval for analyses, specifications, and design drawings.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) and review structural analyses, calculations, and design documents
- Verify compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Provide technical review comments and approval documentation, ensuring designs are safe and defensible
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
- Active Tennessee Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience
- Experience as an Engineer of Record or Lead Structural Engineer
- Advanced proficiency in GT STRUDL and experience with structural calculations and engineering deliverables
- Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC Steel Manual, and ACI 318
