Tennessee School-Based Navigator

Job Summary

To facilitate access to behavioral health services for students, the full-time Tennessee School-Based Navigator will serve as a liaison among schools, families, and the organization, managing referrals, assisting with insurance processes, and coordinating service entry in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process student referrals, initiating family contact and documentation within three business days
• Assist families with Medicaid eligibility screening and coordinate intake appointments with school-based therapists
• Collaborate with internal teams to support compliance tasks and maintain service continuity throughout treatment

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Understanding of mental health systems and school-based service models
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic records management
• Current driver's license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance
• Successful completion of background checks including criminal record and abuse/neglect checks
