Tennessee Special Education Substitute Teacher

Job Summary

A company in the education industry is looking for a Tennessee Special Education Substitute Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.

Position Responsibilities:

• Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers to develop and update individualized learning plans and schedules, monitor completion of assignments, and verify student learning
• Write and deliver IEPs, provide direct services as directed by the school, and ensure that IEP goals and accommodations are being met
• Keep student records and data up to date, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance accounting, and student logs

Required Qualifications:

• Highly qualified and certified as a special educator in Tennessee
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Ability to write and monitor IEP plans, and are willing to learn to do so using a variety of software
• Proven commitment to student achievement
• Strong technology skills (experience with learning management systems, Microsoft Office programs, and Google Apps preferred)
