Tenure Track Technical Communication Professor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Technical Communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the curricular redevelopment of Technical Writing (ENGL 221) and teach courses in technical communication
• Support interdisciplinary minors and certificates related to artificial intelligence and technology communication
• Engage in departmental service and participate in college meetings and events

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Technical Writing, Rhetoric and Composition, English, or related discipline
• Demonstrated expertise in technical and professional communication, particularly in engineering or aviation fields
• Evidence of excellence in teaching technical or professional writing, including online course development
• Ability to integrate emerging technologies, including AI tools, into communication pedagogy
• Active research agenda or professional experience in technical communication or critical AI studies
