Test Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Test Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electron optical alignment on electron microscopes and develop a deep understanding of the overall system
• Identify areas of improvement regarding electron optics and collaborate with the design team to enhance components
• Document procedures for microscope bring-up and perform remote support and diagnostics on hardware

Required Qualifications

• PhD in physical sciences or engineering related field
• Familiarity with concepts in electron optics, charged particle physics, and solid state physics
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a customer-focused environment
• Desire and ability to learn the inner workings of complex scientific instruments
• Experience operating and troubleshooting complex scientific instruments, preferably electron microscopes
