Test Engineer
Job Summary
To support a VA healthcare application upgrade, the remote Test Engineer will develop and execute various testing methodologies, including functional and regression testing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality and compliance with pharmacy business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute test cases and scripts for pharmacy application upgrade requirements
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate software changes
- Document defects and participate in defect triage and release-readiness reviews
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related enterprise application validation
- Experience developing and executing test cases and defect reports for complex software systems
- Familiarity with healthcare data exchange standards, particularly NCPDP-related workflows
- Ability to test across multi-component application environments, including legacy and Java/JEE applications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
