Test Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Test Engineer will perform manual testing of Power App and .NET-based test frameworks, focusing on functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing to support the Department of Veterans Affairs' compliance and risk management initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing to validate system behavior and develop test plans and cases
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to communicate test progress, risks, and quality insights to stakeholders
- Identify gaps in requirements and test coverage, providing recommendations for improvement
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field
- Knowledge of software testing with proficiency in Visual Studio, C#, and .NET applications
- Working knowledge of Power Apps and version control (Git) with CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile principles
- Ability to perform manual testing with strong analytical thinking and solid documentation skills
