Test Engineer
Job Summary
To support a high-impact client engagement in the Quick Service Restaurant industry, the remote Test Engineer will design and maintain automated tests, lead the creation of test scenarios, and collaborate with teams to triage bugs and investigate failures over a 6-month contract.
Key responsibilities
- Design, test, and maintain automated tests for services
- Lead efforts in drafting test scenarios and writing tests for functional use cases, including asynchronous/event-driven flows and GraphQL API contracts
- Collaborate with teams to triage bugs and investigate failures across various environments
Required qualifications
- Solid proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript; experience with test runners such as Mocha
- Hands-on experience with UI test automation frameworks, including Playwright
- Demonstrable experience testing event-driven/Pub-Sub systems (e.g., MQTT, WebSockets)
- Deep experience testing GraphQL APIs, including writing and maintaining tests for complex queries and mutations
- Working knowledge of cloud environments and containerized deployments, including Docker
