Test Engineer Automation and Performance
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Test Engineer, Automation and Performance to work remotely on a full-time basis, responsible for supporting test automation, Section 508 accessibility, and performance/load validation for a Department of Veterans Affairs Pega Cloud solution.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated test suites for unit, API, workflow, regression, and end-to-end testing integrated with the delivery pipeline
- Plan and execute accessibility testing and document findings related to Section 508/WCAG compliance
- Develop workload models for load, stress, and performance testing, measuring response times and identifying bottlenecks
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of software quality engineering or test automation experience, with practical experience in accessibility and performance testing
- Experience building automated tests for web applications, APIs, and enterprise applications using modern frameworks
- Working knowledge of CI/CD-based continuous testing and defect management
- Ability to script or code automated checks using relevant languages or frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
