Job Summary
To enhance the safety of autonomous vehicle testing, the full-time Test Safety Engineer will develop and maintain safety processes, perform risk assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, working remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Drive and maintain Operational Safety Concept and relevant work products for autonomous vehicle testing
- Lead safety risk assessments and develop operational safety plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Provide data analyses and metrics to support safety cases and evaluate safety results of tests
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4+ years of experience in automotive safety or related industries (or 0-3 years with a Master's degree)
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Hazard and Risk Assessment methodologies
- Experience with requirements management tools and project management
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in complex systems
