Texas HR/PY Functional Lead

Job Summary

Driving mission-critical HR and Payroll operations, the full-time CAPPS HR/PY Functional Lead will leverage expertise in PeopleSoft HCM and Texas public sector to deliver functional leadership for statewide modules, collaborating in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead upgrades of PeopleSoft HCM systems, including testing and post-go-live optimization
• Serve as the subject matter expert for CAPPS HR/PY modules and oversee system configurations and security
• Coordinate fiscal year-end processing and provide Tier 2 Service Desk support for Texas agencies

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with Texas HR policy and federal labor laws, along with technical skills in SQR/SQL and BI Publisher
• 12+ years of hands-on experience with statewide ERP system configurations and security best practices
• 10+ years supporting PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and CAPPS HR/PY modules for Texas public sector clients
• Proven experience in managing strategic roadmaps and leading functional project management
• Advanced skills in PUM, Fluid UI, and service desk operations
