Job Summary

A company is looking for an Abstractor to work under general supervision in the Department of Revenue Cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract patient data from charts to determine billable charges based on treatment and diagnosis
• Perform daily census reports and track Pediatric ICU admissions
• Maintain a production standard of forty notes and a quality standard of 95%

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of physician or hospital billing or collections experience
• Extensive knowledge in at least one medical specialty
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification may substitute for experience
• Licenses such as ASSOC RECORDS ADMIN, REGISTERED RECORDS ADMIN, or CERT PROFESSIONAL CODER are preferred upon hire
