Job Summary

To support critical initiatives within the Texas Department of Public Safety, a contract AI/ML Engineer will design, build, and deploy enterprise-level artificial intelligence solutions, optimizing information retrieval and enhancing organizational efficiency, with opportunities for both remote and onsite work.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy components of an enterprise search solution for improved information retrieval
• Assist in configuring and documenting the Darwin AI inventory and monitoring system
• Implement and support AI agents tailored to various business unit needs while ensuring compliance with technology policies

Required qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise search tools development and deployment
• Demonstrated expertise in AI system configuration and technical documentation
• Practical experience in implementing and testing AI agents
• Experience in developing compliance-focused technical controls and governance documentation
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
