Job Summary
Representing institutional mortgage lenders and servicers in bankruptcy matters, the hybrid remote Texas Licensed Associate Attorney will focus on protecting secured-creditor rights in Chapters 7, 13, and 11, providing comprehensive legal strategies throughout the bankruptcy lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end legal strategies for bankruptcy cases, including proof of claim and motions for relief from stay
- Advise clients on complex bankruptcy and investor-guideline issues to ensure compliance and maximize recoveries
- Attend hearings and mediations across Texas while managing a high volume of cases in a fast-paced environment
Required qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as an Attorney in bankruptcy, with at least 1 year representing creditors in Texas Bankruptcy Courts
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing with the Texas Bar
- Proficiency in federal, state, and local bankruptcy laws and regulations
- Ability to analyze case law and provide actionable recommendations
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines effectively
