Texas Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

As a full-time Texas Licensed Associate General Counsel in the Corporate Legal Team, the candidate will manage legal matters related to technology, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance while providing strategic advice and oversight on governance programs and incident responses.

Key responsibilities

• Monitoring and advocating on developing laws and regulations while representing company positions
• Designing and overseeing governance and compliance programs, including internal policies and regulatory filings
• Advising on legal responses to operational and cybersecurity incidents and collaborating with IT and security teams

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience, ideally in large law firms and in-house roles, with a focus on financial services or regulated industries
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Texas
• Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• Demonstrated commitment to technology and data law with the ability to drive improvements
• Effective interpersonal skills to interact with various organizational levels and non-legal roles
