Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Review Clinician - Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness
• Performs prior authorization and concurrent reviews for behavioral health services
• Analyzes member data to improve service quality and utilization

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Must possess a state-required license to practice independently
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school or Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of related experience
• Preferred Master's degree in a behavioral health-related field with 2-4 years of experience
• Experience in Utilization Review or Utilization Management related to Behavioral Health is preferred
• Direct experience with inpatient behavioral health and/or substance use disorders is preferred
