Texas Licensed CDI Quality Reviewer
Job Summary
To enhance clinical documentation quality, the full-time Texas Licensed CDI Quality Reviewer will conduct comprehensive secondary chart reviews, collaborate with coding and CDI teams, and provide education to clinicians, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Completes secondary clinical reviews to identify documentation discrepancies and opportunities for improvement
- Acts as a liaison between the Coding Department and Clinical Documentation Integrity to resolve coding discrepancies
- Collaborates with CDI Educator/Auditor to address educational needs identified from reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
- Current Texas nursing license or temporary/compact license
- Certification as CCDS, CDIP, or CCS required
- Minimum of three years of Clinical Documentation Integrity experience
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with coding software and Epic EMR preferred
