Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Coder II.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processes claims based on state rules and regulations
  • Determines validity and compensability of claims using proprietary programs
  • Makes recommendations and communicates claim status to referring offices
Required Qualifications and Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current AAPC certification and CPC certification with over 2 years of experience
  • Current or recent orthopedic billing/coding experience
  • Experience with EncoderPro software and E/M coding/down-coding
  • Preferred experience in Texas workers' compensation and Pain Management/Anesthesia/General Surgery coding
