Job Summary
A company is looking for a Certified Coder II.
Key Responsibilities
- Processes claims based on state rules and regulations
- Determines validity and compensability of claims using proprietary programs
- Makes recommendations and communicates claim status to referring offices
Required Qualifications and Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current AAPC certification and CPC certification with over 2 years of experience
- Current or recent orthopedic billing/coding experience
- Experience with EncoderPro software and E/M coding/down-coding
- Preferred experience in Texas workers' compensation and Pain Management/Anesthesia/General Surgery coding
