Job Summary
A company is looking for a Certified Professional Coder Representative.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit charts to ensure accurate ICD-10 CM and CPT code assignment and documentation integrity
- Review medical records and verify documentation to support diagnostic and procedural codes
- Monitor coding-related trends and issues, making recommendations for process improvements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- CPC certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in an outpatient setting
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and guidelines
- Proficient in Google Sheets and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
