Job Summary
Seeking a Texas Licensed Clinical Auditor, the full-time remote Clinical DRG Auditor will perform DRG validation reviews of medical records, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance with guidelines while also training new auditors.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct audits of medical record documentation to verify accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes, adhering to coding guidelines
- Achieve productivity and quality performance standards set by management
- Assist in training and mentoring new Coders or Clinical DRG Auditors, providing feedback and education
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the United States and state of primary residence
- One of the following Coding Certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CCDS, or CPC
- 3+ years of clinical experience in an inpatient hospital setting
- 2+ years of MS DRG/APR DRG coding or auditing experience with expert knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools
