Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare network, the full-time Texas Licensed Clinical Coder will review and code diagnostic information in patient charts, validate missed coding opportunities, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, and code diagnostic information in patient charts to improve coding accuracy
  • Validate missed coding opportunities and conduct audits of patient charts for accurate coding
  • Ensure compliance with established coding guidelines, third-party reimbursement policies, and regulatory requirements
Required qualifications
  • Professional Coding Certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCS-P required; CRC certification is a plus
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in advanced professional coding, with HCC coding experience required
  • GED or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience providing coding education in an outpatient environment, preferably in a Primary Care Practice
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records and payer policies and guidelines
