Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical DRG Auditor who is responsible for performing DRG validation reviews of medical records.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts audits of medical record documentation to verify accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes
• Achieves productivity and quality performance standards set by management
• Assists in training new Coders or Clinical DRG Auditors through monitoring and feedback

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the United States and the state of primary home residency
• One of the following Coding Certifications is required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CCDS, or CPC
• 3+ years of clinical experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• 2+ years of MS DRG/APR DRG coding or auditing experience with expert knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-PCS coding methodologies and related guidelines
