Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical DRG Auditor who is responsible for performing DRG validation reviews of medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts audits of medical record documentation to verify accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes
- Achieves productivity and quality performance standards set by management
- Assists in training new Coders or Clinical DRG Auditors through monitoring and feedback
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the United States and the state of primary home residency
- One of the following Coding Certifications is required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CCDS, or CPC
- 3+ years of clinical experience in an inpatient hospital setting
- 2+ years of MS DRG/APR DRG coding or auditing experience with expert knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10-PCS coding methodologies and related guidelines
