Job Summary
To support a growing specialty pharmacy, the full-time Texas Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will provide educational and consultant services in pharmacology, review prescription prior authorizations, and maintain knowledge of drug therapies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review non-formulary drug requests and prior authorization requests using predetermined criteria
- Provide drug information and prepare materials for Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee meetings
- Assist in the development and management of formularies, preferred drug lists, and clinical initiatives
Required qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of Pharmacy
- Texas licensure in good standing as a Clinical Pharmacist
- At least one year of clinical pharmacy experience
- One to two years of experience in managed care and pharmacy benefit management
- Ability to communicate medical information effectively to diverse audiences
