Job Summary

To support a growing specialty pharmacy, the full-time Texas Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will provide educational and consultant services in pharmacology, review prescription prior authorizations, and maintain knowledge of drug therapies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Review non-formulary drug requests and prior authorization requests using predetermined criteria
  • Provide drug information and prepare materials for Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee meetings
  • Assist in the development and management of formularies, preferred drug lists, and clinical initiatives
Required qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Pharmacy
  • Texas licensure in good standing as a Clinical Pharmacist
  • At least one year of clinical pharmacy experience
  • One to two years of experience in managed care and pharmacy benefit management
  • Ability to communicate medical information effectively to diverse audiences
