Job Summary
To support a growing specialty pharmacy, the full-time Texas Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services, review medication therapy, and collaborate with providers while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and interpret medication orders for safety and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
- Conduct drug utilization reviews and support prior authorization requests while documenting patient assessments and care plans
- Provide patient counseling and drug information, collaborating with internal teams and providers to optimize therapy
Required qualifications
- BS or Pharm. D. from an accredited school of pharmacy with a current, unrestricted Texas pharmacist license
- Residency training or 2 years of post-graduate experience in specialty pharmacy or a clinically relevant pharmacy setting preferred
- Experience in conducting clinical reviews, patient counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration strongly preferred
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws, clinical pharmacy practice standards, and medication safety principles
- Ability to utilize pharmacy management systems and electronic patient management platforms effectively
