Job Summary
To enhance coding accuracy and clinical documentation, the remote Texas Licensed Coding Educator will train staff on coding concepts and guidelines, develop educational materials, and conduct performance reviews while working part-time.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinates onboarding and training for new coding staff on guidelines and procedures
- Develops and maintains training materials and presents targeted educational content
- Performs reviews to monitor team progress and identifies educational gaps through audit findings
Required qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of acute hospital-based inpatient coding experience
- Documented leadership experience and proficiency in creating educational content
- Relevant certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC-H
- Strong understanding of coding auditing and clinical documentation improvement (CDI) concepts
- Experience working in a remote environment preferred
