Job Summary
To support a fast-growing healthcare organization, the remote Texas Licensed Coding Manager will oversee coding operations, ensure accurate coding and revenue integrity, and provide education and guidance to the coding team while managing an offshore team.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee department's work queues and productivity reports to ensure timely submission of charges
- Develop and implement standardized physician-based coding guidelines and documentation requirements
- Provide education and guidance on professional coding policies to maximize revenue opportunities while minimizing compliance risk
Required qualifications:
- Current AAPC CPC, AHIMA CCS-P, or equivalent certification is required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Health Administration field is preferred
- 5 years of progressive professional coding experience with extensive knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes assignment
- 2 years of supervisory experience is required
