Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist III - Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient and outpatient medical records according to current coding guidelines
• Mentor and train lower-level coding specialists as needed
• Maintain quality and productivity standards set by the organization

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 3 to 5 years of acute hospital-based coding experience
• Experience working in a remote environment
• Licenses such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS required upon hire
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a closely related field preferred
• Expert knowledge of coding guidelines and practices
