Texas Licensed Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist III - Outpatient Cancer Center Ancillary (PRN).

Key Responsibilities

• Code retrospective outpatient accounts using ICD-10 CM and CPT while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines
• Abstract required data elements and maintain quality and productivity standards
• Review accounts in denial work queues and make recommendations to the Coding Manager

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of acute hospital-based coding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Relevant coding certifications (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, COC, CPC, CPC-H, CIRCC)
• Experience in a remote work environment preferred for PRN Coders
• Cancer Center ancillary experience is preferred
