Texas Licensed Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Supervisor - Ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SOPs, training guides, and decision trees in collaboration with supervisors
• Manage team schedules, workload distribution, and staff education documentation
• Review billing concerns and provide guidance to staff on coding practices and productivity tracking

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a closely related field, or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience
• 3 years of progressive coding experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 5 years with an Associate's Degree, or 7 years with a High School Diploma
• 1 year of experience in a lead capacity
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) upon hire
• Preferred knowledge of Correct Coding Initiatives (CCI) and Epic electronic health record systems
