Job Summary
Utilizing various collection strategies, the full-time Texas Licensed Collection Representative will manage a portfolio of charged-off accounts with principal balances of $2,501 and greater, negotiating payment arrangements and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review accounts to determine the next course of action for resolving delinquent debts
- Negotiate payment terms and settlements while applying knowledge of credit bureau reporting to support skip tracing efforts
- Document all account activity accurately and participate in continuous improvement training sessions to enhance collection techniques
Required qualifications
- High school education or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of collections or sales experience preferred
- Understanding of credit bureau reporting (CBR)
- Knowledge of FDCPA and compliance regulations
- Experience with negotiation and conflict resolution strategies
