Texas Licensed Commercial Plans Examiner

Job Summary

To support 3rd-party Private Provider plan review operations, the remote Texas Licensed Commercial Plans Examiner will perform complex commercial plan reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and collaborating with stakeholders across the continental United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and timely reviews of commercial construction documents for compliance with applicable codes
• Perform electronic plan reviews using Bluebeam Revu, including markups and corrections
• Apply local code amendments and ordinances specific to the City of Fort Worth, TX, ensuring compliance of all submittals

Required Qualifications

• Active International Code Council (ICC) Commercial Combination Plans Examiner certification or individual ICC commercial certifications
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial plan reviews for municipalities, counties, or 3rd-party providers
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for explaining code deficiencies to stakeholders
• A dedicated home office setup with high-speed internet for handling large digital plan sets
