Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

• Shadows experienced underwriters to learn about risk appetite and develop agency relationships
• Evaluates basic middle market accounts for risk selection and pricing purposes under supervision
• Maintains proper file documentation and communicates with agents to provide updates on accounts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
• Preferred insurance designations such as AINS, AU, CIC, or CPCU
• Knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverage options preferred
• Ability to work effectively with others and independently
• Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
