Texas Licensed Compliance Director

Job Summary

To support a growing legal team, the full-time Texas Licensed Compliance Director will design, implement, and optimize compliance functions across gaming and prediction market initiatives while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve the company's compliance program across various gaming verticals and manage regulatory risk profiles
• Lead CFTC compliance strategies, including structuring event contracts and ensuring adherence to the Commodity Exchange Act
• Oversee consumer protection compliance, ensuring all marketing and user acquisition strategies meet FTC guidelines

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles within gaming, fintech, or related fields
• Active Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred
• Strong working knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act, CFTC, and NFA rules
• Proven experience with FTC guidelines and consumer protection laws in digital environments
• Experience building compliance programs in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments
