Texas Licensed Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist

Job Summary

To support emergency department and inpatient teams, the full-time Texas Licensed Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist will provide high-quality psychiatric evaluations and consultations remotely, with a flexible schedule that includes only 1-2 weekend shifts per month.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and consultations for patients of all ages in emergency and inpatient settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including supervision of nurse practitioners
• Manage a flexible schedule of 13-16 shifts per month, ensuring availability for weekend shifts as required

Required qualifications

• Active Texas medical license required; IMLC Letter of Qualification preferred
• Completion of a 4-year ACGME Residency Program in Psychiatry
• Board certification in Psychiatry is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of post-residency consult-liaison experience
• Experience treating patients ages 5 and older in emergency or inpatient settings
